Food Packing Tips
Plan ahead and prepare your food supply efficiently! By selecting the right foods and repackaging them, you can make the most out of your Bare Boxer canister.
Plan Meals Ahead of Time:
Count every meal that you plan on eating, including snacks, drinks, and condiments. Laying everything out on a table will help you visualize your food supply. If possible, pre-measure and pre-mix your food.
Choose Compact Foods:
Find foods that are high in calories and low in volume. Avoid bulky food items that could potentially waste valuable space.
Food Examples:
Freeze Dried Meals, Meal Bars, Jerky, Cheese, Trail Mix, Nuts, Dried Fruit, Rice, Tortillas, Pita Bread, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal, Powdered Milk, Instant Coffee
Repackage Food:
Remove unnecessary packaging whenever possible to maximize canister space and reduce waste. Transfer food from boxes, bottles, jars, and cans into resealable plastic bags that fit into smaller spaces. Release air from sealed packages. If necessary, cut out and keep cooking instructions and label bags with a permanent marker.
